European Championships, Turkey 2010

European Championships, Turkey 2010 This weekend saw the England Junior and Cadet team return from the European Championships. With a fantastic tally of 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and 5 Bronze Medals.

Khalsa Karate would like to thank all the England Coaches, for there hard work and the squad for coming back with great results.

We at the club had Rachel and Jack representing England.

For Jack this was a first hand trial at representing Endland and Jack done a fantastic job, producing his best ever Sei-Unshin, which everyone postively commented, however was just beaten by a slovakian opponent who performed a much higher kata in superempi.

Sensei Sat commented "for Jack this was a fabulous chance to be part of the England Squad and even though Jack didnt medal, his performance, attitude and his own self belief, has given Jack all the confidence he needs to go on to bigger and better things. Well done were all very proud"

For Rachel this was the first time as a team, the squad represented England and done fantastic. Infact this was the best ever female team result to come out of England. With Rachel, Rebbecca and Aimee producing an awesome kata followed by an even better Bunkai, the team came away with a bronze medal.

Sensei Sat commented "For Rachel this was a great experience, and judging from the performance the team have jelled very well. This was a great overall result, and we would like to congratulate all members and Jon Mottram for the hard work involved. On an individual note Rachel continues to show her quality and we are so proud of her's and the teams performance and may we have many more good results like this weekend"
